A Busy Day

Thanks to the heavy snows a week ago, I was able to make a quilt for my Grandson to be.  I shared with you a sneak peak a few days back, but now all I have left is the binding, and then to wash it.

Each baby has a unique expression on his face.  Babies are supposed to love faces, so this will be a good floor quilt.

Here is the whole picture.  I tried to make the babies of international races.  I've got Saudi, East Indian, Asian, African, and American Indian.
This was really easy, and being quite free form, suitable to my skills.
The baby shower is in two weeks, so I'll be ready!!!

Here are several hats I've made in the past few days.  I hopefully have a place to sell them up in the mountains at a guest house.  Their clientel like the natural, rugged look.  I think they will like these.  3 of them have a faux brim similar to the hats that the US Olympic team wore in the last Olympic games.

Today I need to go get a blood draw, pick up my new glasses that don't have any prism correction in them, which I will hopefully be wearing within a few weeks of my surgery, go to Second Chance, my favorite local thrift shop, and then return home to watch the tree crew remove a dead tree and limb four more trees.
I will rest much easier after that work is done on the trees.  They are well over 100 years old, and there are 18 of them surrounding the house.
Should be an exciting day for the local kids.

BTW I've got my Etsy shop up and running again.  I only have a couple items posted, but return regularly and I will get my yarns up, one day at a time.  I'm "Alpacalady".

LOVE that baby-face quilt...what a great idea!!! Good luck with your hat-selling and your etsy shop, too. I know how you feel about the trees...having had a big one come down on our house 2 years ago and do $30,000 worth of damage!!! (Luckily, nobody was hurt.)
