Leroy enjoys the wading pool when it isn't so full. He drinks out of it, but also lies in it! What a character. Probably trying to keep his soft white tummy tidy whitey.
It's been raining pigs and chickens around here, and I realized I'd almost forgotten what rain was like. I've never seen the neighboring farms irrigating this early before, but the other night, in addition to our own fields, we saw six other irrigation systems in operation. That doesn't usually happen until late August. We seem to have traded weather with those of you in the mid west and east coast. But, it also got me to dreading this coming winter. I'm not looking forward to it.
I have been trying to get some work done around here and prepare for the Everson-Nooksack Summer Festival. Those of you who won items from me in the giveaway, I hope you will be patient for another week. I have so many other things to get to. My hands hurt so badly from weeding, I've decided to put my knitting away again and do some sewing. Yippee! Although I will have alot of spinninning and needle felting to do also. I've been trying to do socks, but the needles are so small, it just kills my hands.
So not much to offer up in excitement this time. I hope to have some great pictures from the Festival, which is Friday and Saturday. Hang in there, I'll be back.
