Festival, Day 2

Saturday was a much better day at the Festival. I'm trying to talk the Chamber in to having an all day event on Saturday from now on. No one comes on Friday, and it runs until 9PM. On Saturday they close at 4PM, just when the momentum is building. I've only been on the Chamber for 8 years, and change doesn't happen quickly around here. I'll keep working on that.

So anyhow, I was recruited to join a Crafter's Co-op in Glacier. Glacier is the kick off point for skiers and tourists on Mt. Baker. I have been trying to get my hats into a store up there for years, and here is my opportunity. Yeee ha.

I also sold 12 skeins of yarn and an embellished jacket. I have three people coming today to shop, so all in all, it was a success. And to think I almost didn't go back yesterday.

This is Debbie, folding Festival T-shirts.

This is my space. I brought more tables and re-organized it. Made a huge difference. You can see I was in the direct sun until about 1PM.

These are some flower pins I've been making by needle felting.

Here are two skeins of yarn I spun while at the festival. I finished about 5 skeins while there, and knit up a scarf. A woman bought a skein from me on Thursday and hired me to make a scarf for her. She'll be surprised when I call her to tell her it's finished.
Today I MUST concentrate on cleaning this house!!!
But then, I need to unpack and put the store in order before my shoppers come.
If it's not one thing, it's another.
Smiles!

YAY for a good day at the festival for you. It would seem your idea makes a lot of sense.....to have it be a daylong festival on Saturday and skip the Friday night stuff, since it doesn't seem to draw many attendees at that time. Now.....you made an entire scarf in ONE day? (Gosh.....I am embarrassed to tell you how long I've been working on the same scarf. LOL)
